Sunday Races for Pre-TT Classic Road Races

The organisers of the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races 2018 would like to confirm that the main race day for this year’s event is Sunday 27th May and not Monday 28th as publicised in both the Isle of Man Examiner and the Southern Chronicle.
The Road Closing and Schedules are as follows:

Friday 25th May
6.00pm to 9.35pm Practice & Qualifying

Saturday 26th May
12.10pm to 4.15pm Practice plus Two Races

Sunday 27th May
1.30m to 5.00pm Five Races
&
5.45pm to 9.00pm Four Races

Should Force Majeure cause the Saturday Evening Practice on the TT Mountain Course to be cancelled, the cancelled session will be held on Sunday 27th between 1.00pm & 5.30pm which will cause the postponement of the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races to be moved to Monday 28th May.

Should the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races have to be run on the Monday, the Road Closures will be 9.10am to 12.15pm & 1.05pm to 4.15pm.

TT Supersport (1) & Sidecar (1)

Michael Dunlop put Sunday’s disappointment behind him with a dominant win in the opening Supersport TT. Peter Hickman claimed his second podium in two days with 3rd place with James Hillier just ahead in 2nd. William Dunlop was denied a podium slot although his good form from the NW 200 continued as he claimed 4th spot.

Tom and Ben Birchall scorched away from the line to take the first of the Sidecar races. Opposing crews had no answer to the brothers hot pace as they broke the lap record to record an average speed for the lap at over 117mph! John Holden and Lee Cain finished 2nd and the local crew of Dave Molyneux and Dan Style came home in third. Their pace was slowed considerably as Sayle suffered injuries to his ribs such was the furious pace up front.
