Blackfords Pre TT Classic – Monday

Conditions overnight deteriorated and competitors faced wet conditions all around the Billown Circuit as they prepared for the final day’s action at the Pre TT Classic Races, although after lunch things did improve, slightly.

Blackfords Pre TT Classic 2017 – Saturday

Despite a gloomy forecast of thunderstorms and heavy rain the second session of practice and racing was graced with warm and at times sunny conditions.

Race 1 of this year’s programme, the Office Equipment Centre – Singles Classic Race was won by local rider Rich Hawkins riding a Ducati 349cc. Hawkins last won this race back in 2007 so yesterday’s victory was both welcome and overdue for the Foxdale rider. Brothers Bob and Meredydd Owen took the remaining places on the podium.

The unfortunate Anthony Redmond can only watch on as his Honda 900 rearranges itself at Ballakeighan Corner. Anthony was thankfully uninjured but was worried how he was going to break the news to the bike’s owner!
